On Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, holiday shoppers remember the giving spirit of the season by making a donation to a nonprofit that needs their support. The Oak Park Regional Housing Center relies heavily on donations from supporters like you to continue working toward our mission to build and sustain meaningful diversity in Oak Park.
The current climate in our nation makes it clear that inclusive community is not a given. In addition, budget cuts have drastically reduced our government funding. Due to strained fiscal capacities on state and local government, we lost $120,000 in funds in 2016. We’ve been able to cut costs and increase event revenue, but we must raise $80,000 by December 31 in order to continue to serve the Oak Park region. This wonderful Community Conversation on Nov. 17 showed that Oak Parkers and others are strongly committed to the causes of diversity, integration, and inclusivity.
While your donations are welcome and appreciated throughout the year, we’re making a big push on Giving Tuesday! You can click on the button above to donate online, or you may send donations to our offices at 1041 South Blvd. in Oak Park.
