Why Oak Park? Regional Housing Center Renters Share Their Stories

what we've lost is nothingJoin us to see how newcomers to our village worked with the Oak Park Regional Housing Center to find a great new home. People who sought help from the Housing Center to find apartments in Oak Park will share their stories about why they chose Oak Park as their new address.

This event is part of the library’s One Book, One Oak Park summer of events and discussions centered around “What We’ve Lost Is Nothing” by Rachel Louise Snyder. In this debut novel set in Oak Park, a series of home invasions rocks a local neighborhood into examining hidden prejudices, the power of tolerance, and the evolving relationship between American cities and their suburbs.
