In an effort to make it more convenient for people to support and follow our work in community integration and equity, the Oak Park Regional Housing Center has established a monthly giving program called Friends of the Housing Center.

Your recurring donation is just as easy to set up as a one-time donation. Just click here to donate, and use the menu provided to indicate how often you would like your donation to be charged to your payment method.

Recurring donations help us budget and plan for the future. And in an era where government funding for our work tightens, we rely even more on donations from individuals like you.

Cheryl Wisniewski is a former Housing Center client and current board member who has been making a monthly donation to the Housing Center for more than a year now.

“It’s an easy way to be sure I am giving back to the community and ensuring a future in Oak Park that will be welcoming and inclusive,” she says. “I may not be able to give $240 all at once, but this way, I can make the same larger contribution without it denting my pocketbook. It’s mission-motivated, but also economical.”

Once you set up your donation, you will be a Friend of the Housing Center, receiving regular updates on our work and information on the Housing Center’s special events and opportunities.

The launch of this new Friends of the Housing Center program coincides with our 2017 year-end “Investing in Integration” campaign. The campaign intends to raise at least $50,000 by the end of the year to support our ongoing work in promoting and sustaining diversity and integration in Oak Park, building a stronger Greater West Side, and providing integration and equity programming throughout our region.

To help to encourage folks to join the Friends of the Housing Center before the end of 2017, the Housing Center has set up the following incentives:

• For any level of recurring gift: A free Oak Park “flag” t-shirt or yard sign
• For gifts of $25 per month or above: One free entry into our year-end Cancún trip drawing on December 14 (plus the t-shirt or yard sign)
• The first gift of $100 per month or more: Two free tickets to the Hubbard Street Dance Winter Series, December 7-10 (plus all of the above)
